Our History of Web Design Dates Back to 1994
As a tech support representative, we were each given a copy of the latest OS2 Warp. It had built in Web Browser software. As I began to explore the Web, I would wonder how did they make the text size change to get it to look that way. Then I figured how to put images on a Web page as I learned the Hypertext Mark Up Language HTML. I later got a copy of Mozilla Netscape and it had built in page design software. Someone loaned a Sony Digital Mavica Floppy Disk Camera to me. No more wasted hours on the flatbed scanner. I proposed to my manager that I take close up-photos of all the SCSI Cable connectors and put them on our Tech Support Customer Access Web site. Upper Management loved it. I was awarded employee of the year in my division and spent my cash bonus on Macromedia and Adobe Web Design software. RiverImage.com become a business entity. Some of the original photos I took at that old job are still online as in the sample photo to your left.
